Liberal MP Borys Wrzesnewskyj (above), and NDP MP Peggy Nash and Bloc MP Maria Mourani departed yesterday for a seven-day fact-finding trip to the Middle East planned by the National Council on Canada-Arab Relations. The group will land in Cairo "to get a regional perspective," said Mazen Chouiab, executive director of the NCCAR. The MPs will meet the Arab League, foreign ministers, humanitarian assistance groups and other local NGOs as they travel through Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, and potentially Jordan.
