Walk Away from Deal: Liberal Critic

International Trade Minister David Emerson needs to push the U.S. lumber lobby for changes to the proposed softwood lumber dead, or Canada will have to walk away from the agreement, said Liberal Trade Critic Dominic LeBlanc on Monday. Mr. LeBlanc called the proposed deal a naïve public relations exercise that is selling out the Canadian lumber industry.
