Canada Cuts CDM Cash

The federal government has axed a $1.5 million pledge to help poor nations cut C02 emissions under the Kyoto Protocol's clean development mechanism, a move criticized by Green Party leader Elizabeth May. The Tories object to Kyoto in part because developing nations like China and India are exempt from emission-cutting targets.
