French Minister In Nunavut

Nunavut premier Paul Okalik served seal stew to French ambassador Daniel Jouanneau (above) and French Tourism Minister Leon Bertrand during their visit to the territory on Monday, reports the CBC. While Mr. Bertrand was there to talk tourism, Mr. Okalik wanted to discuss the proposed EU ban on Canadian seal products, expressing his concern that while the proposed ban would not affect Inuit hunters, it would still affect the territory's economy.
