'Mutual Respect'

Chinese Ambassador Shumin Lu told an audience in Saskatoon that China and Canada need to "properly handle their differences," reported The Globe and Mail. Mr. Lu didn't identify any specifics, but observers say Canada's welcoming of the Dalai Lama and Foreign Minister Peter MacKay's delay in formally meeting Mr. Lu are among the indications that the Tory government is tilting away from relations with China.
