NAC Appoints Mouawad

Lebanese-born Canadian writer and director Wajdi Mouawad will take over as the artistic director of French theatre at the National Arts Centre in time for the 2008-9 season. Mr. Mouawad is world renowned for his play "Wedding Day at the Cro-Magnons" about a family in Lebanon who go ahead with their daughter's wedding despite the bombardment taking place around them. Mr. Mouawad succeeds Denis Marleau.
