New Languages Chief

Prime Minister Stephen Harper last week appointed Toronto Star journalist and Carleton University professor Graham Fraser as the new Commissioner of Official Languages. The Commissioner is responsible for promoting the equality of English and French in Canada, and reports directly to parliament. Mr. Fraser will take over from Dr. Dyane Adam. Mr. Fraser's latest book, Sorry, I Don't Speak French, was published in March.
