Top Privacy: Germany, Canada

A report issued by UK-based rights watchdog Privacy International last week ranks Germany and Canada as the best defenders of privacy, with Malaysia and China tied for worst. The report ranks 37 countries' privacy protections, such as scrutiny of travel and financial dealings, use of identity cards, and use of closed-circuit TV cameras.
