Keep Fighting Bird Flu

On her first day on the job last Thursday, World Health Organization chief Dr. Margaret Chan warned the world to remain vigilant against bird flu, currently ravaging Vietnam. Dr. Chan, 59, holds both Chinese and Canadian citizenship, and received her medical degree from the University of Western Ontario. She succeeds South Korea's Lee Jong-Wook, who died in office last year.
