Khan Crosses Floor

Toronto-area MP Wajid Khan (right) defected from the Liberals to join the ruling Conservatives last Friday. Mr. Khan, an entrepreneur and former fighter pilot in the Pakistan army, has lived in Canada since 1974. After the 2006 election, he served as a Liberal defence critic, but gave up that post in June to become Prime Minister Stephen Harper's special advisor for Middle Eastern and Central Asian affairs.
