Kingston's Radio Kandahar

Canadian forces in Afghanistan have launched a new radio station based in Kingston, Ont. that will deliver not only Indian and Afghan music to the Kandahar region in Afghanistan, but also pro-NATO and anti-Taliban messages, the CBC reports. RANA-FM, went live last Saturday. Officials said Kandahar is too dangerous for the station to be based in the city where close to 2,500 Canadian soldiers are based.
