Depressing Lack of Press

Last week Doctors Without Borders released its "Top Ten" Most Under-reported Humanitarian Stories of 2006. The global aid group lists the war in Somalia, violence in the Central African Republic, tuberculosis, conflict in Chechnya, lack of humanitarian help in Sri Lanka, malnutrition, violence in the DRC, Colombia's state of fear, insecurity in Haiti and clashes in central India, as stories insufficiently covered in U.S. media.
