Afghan Development Projects

Afghan Minister of Rural Rehabilitation Mohammad Ehsan Zia announced 135 CIDA-funded rural development projects worth over $31 million yesterday in Kandahar. Some projects include rebuilding water reservoirs and canals. Mr. Zia told tribal elders the international community wants to see Afghans move away from poppy cultivation, reports the CBC.
