Canada-EU Free Trade?

Quebec Premier Jean Charest said Prime Minister Stephen Harper was "very enthusiastic" to the idea of free trade between Canada and the EU, reports the Canadian Press. Speaking from the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Mr. Charest said such a deal would allow Canada to better counter competition of emerging markets, help overcome obstacles to investment and stimulate trade in goods and services. Mr. Charest met with EU Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson, who seemed open to the idea, said Mr. Charest.
