New Fisheries Ambassador

Foreign Affairs Minister Peter MacKay and Fisheries Minister Loyola Hearn resurrected a 10-year-old posting last week, naming former Newfoundland and Labrador finance minister Loyola Sullivan (above) as fisheries conservation ambassador. Mr. Sullivan will represent Canada at international meetings related to fishing issues, including over-fishing and rules related to the North Atlantic Fisheries Organization.
