Find a New Term, Please

The UN's anti-racism watchdog last week asked Canada to reconsider its use of the term 'visible minorities' to define people facing discrimination. While the Canadian government has been praised for some anti-racism initiatives, the UN's Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination says the term 'visible minorities' is itself discriminatory, but did not offer an alternative term.
