Anti-Mugabe Protest

Chanting slogans and singing freedom songs, about 40 supporters of the Movement for Democratic Change, Zimbabwe's opposition party, gathered at the Zimbabwean Embassy in Ottawa on Monday to denounce the government's beating and jailing of opposition members last month. Andrew Manyevere, a Toronto resident who led the action, said public campaigns against the Zimbabwean government will be stepped up in Canada.
