Foreign Strippers Barred

Immigration Minister Diane Finley introduced a government motion in the House last week that would deny work permits to foreign women looking to work as strippers or any other job that could lead to sexual exploitation. Under current laws, immigration officers cannot deny work permits to anyone who meets requirements to work in Canada, even if they believe they could be exploited or abused.
