Canucks Like Immigration

Published: Wednesday, 06/20/2007 12:00 am EDT

A new Ipsos Reid poll finds that 90 per cent of Canadians disagree with the question that Canada would be better off if immigrants returned to where they came from, up from 85 per cent in a similar survey in 1993. The poll of 1,002 adults, conducted between June 12-14 for CanWest News, also found that 30 per cent of Canadians agree that Canada is not taking in enough immigrants. Results are considered accurate within 3.1 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.
