Policy Not Discriminatory

The Federal Court of Appeals has found that a federal policy that prevents Canadians born in Jerusalem from identifying the city as part of Israel on their passports does not violate the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, the Ottawa Citizen reported yesterday. The policy states that Jerusalem is not to be identified with any particular state, though 146 passports listed with the national identified had slipped through.
