Police have told the Council of Canadians that the civil society group will not be able to hold a public meeting that was scheduled to take place six kilometres from where the leaders of Canada, Mexico and the U.S. will be discussing the North American Security and Prosperity Partnership, the Ottawa Citizen reported. The group had placed a $100 deposit to rent a community centre in Papineauville, located near Montebello where the leaders will meet on Aug. 20-21.
