Armed Borders Guards

About 39 border guards who graduated from a weapons training course started manning land entry ports at Windsor, Ont., and Fort Erie, Ont., last weekend. They will be armed with the Beretta Px4, the weapon favoured by James Bond. The number of armed border guards is expected to grow to 4,800 over 10 years as part of the government's efforts to improve border security.
