Diplomat Tries Politics

A former Canadian diplomat will contest a by-election in the Montreal area riding of Outremont. Gilles Duguay, who served as ambassador to Morocco, Cameroon, Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova, will run on a Conservative ticket against high profile candidates Jocelyn Coulon, a former journalist and regular commentator in Quebec media who's running for the Liberals, NDP hopeful Thomas Mulcair, a former Quebec environment minister, and Jean-Pierre Gilson from the Bloc Québécois.
