Hello to Cape Farewell

Published: Wednesday, 09/12/2007 12:00 am EDT

The British Council held a launch for the Cape Farewell project at the Museum of Nature on Sept. 6. Three Canadian high school students–(from second left) Doriana Sammurtok, Chesterfield Inlet, Nunavut; Shona Couturier, St. Hubert, Que.; and Amélie Tremblay-Martin, St. Lambert, Que.–departed for Norway to join nine students from the UK and Germany for a two-week voyage to Svalbard in Norway's Arctic to witness the effects of climate change first-hand. Their experiences will inform art and science projects on climate change. British Council Canada climate change program manager Rebecca Zalatan will also be on the voyage.
