Women's World Cup in China

Published: Wednesday, 09/12/2007 12:00 am EDT

The FIFA Women's World Cup kicked off in China Monday, and continues until Sept. 30. Canada has qualified for the tournament, and is in Group C, taking on Norway tomorrow, Ghana on Sept. 15 and Australia on Sept. 19. Ace striker Christine Sinclair has been tapped as the Canadian player to watch, and is mostly likely to become the country's all-time top scorer. Tomorrow's game versus Norway should be interesting as the Canadian team is being coached by Norwegian Even Pellerud.
