Human Rights Report

On the eve of the UN General Assembly beginning a new session on Monday, Iran circulated a 70-page report on human rights "violations" it alleged were being perpetrated by Canada, the National Post reported. The report claimed the Canadian government was, amongst other things, denying its people the right to food and water and that police often conducted illegal searches and detentions. Canada is leading international efforts to closely examine Iran's own human rights record.
