Senior Ranks Changed

Prime Minister Stephen Harper shook up the senior ranks of several departments last week, including those of the Department of National Defence and CIDA. Effective Oct. 1, DND deputy minister Ward Elcock will be a senior adviser to the Privy Council Office. Robert Fonberg, now senior associate secretary at the Treasury Board, will take over. In addition, Diane Vincent, executive vice-president at CIDA, will become vice-chairperson of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal. Canadian Commercial Corporation president John McBride will take over Ms. Vincent's position.
