Pakistan Eviction

Commonwealth member states, including Canada, have given Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf until Nov. 22 to end the country's state of emergency, restore the constitution and independent judges, step down as head of the military and release political prisoners or face eviction from the 53-nation organization. Gen. Musharraf has claimed the actions are designed to protect the country's security, but critics say the president is more concerned about holding onto power.
