Stop the Trade Talks: Bishop

Colombian Methodist Bishop Juan Alberto Cardona was in Canada this week to persuade the Canadian government to stop pursuing a bilateral trade deal. Rev. Cardona said economic rewards are so unequally distributed in Colombia today that any benefits from a trade deal would go to the elite and multinational companies who control the land and resources acquired through violence.
