Polish Minister Rallies Allies

Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski was a welcome guest in Ottawa on Monday as he rebuked certain NATO allies for their lack of commitment to the mission in Afghanistan. "We will certainly together with Canada be arguing very forcefully in the run-up to the Bucharest summit that more needs to be done, that burdens have to be shared more fairly, and that there's no room for free-riding in this most important operation that NATO has undertaken," Mr. Sikorski said. The foreign minister also pledged two Soviet-style helicopters to help increase the mobility of Canadian Forces.
