Push for Visa Reciprocity

While Afghanistan dominated his visit to Canada, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski also used the stop to press for the lifting of visa restrictions for Polish citizens wishing to come to Canada. Noting that Poland is now a member of the Schengen area, which allows for visa-free travel between most EU members, Mr. Sikorski said his country is in "a very good situation, which should give Canada an opportunity to again look at its visa policies." Canadians travelling to Poland do not need visas.
