Strong Signs on Arctic Case

The Journal of Geophysical Research is currently reviewing a paper by the man behind Canada's efforts to map the extent of its continental shelf in the Arctic, the Ottawa Citizen reported on Monday. Dr. Jacob Verhoef's paper presents the early results of a joint Canadian-Danish study of the contested Lomonosov Ridge, with "very positive" results that could bolster Canada's claim to the mineral-rich Arctic seabed.
