Palestinians Sue Companies

Villagers from the Palestinian community of Bil'in, northwest of Jerusalem, have launched a lawsuit against two Montreal companies that are involved in building condominiums for Israeli settlers on disputed land, the Toronto Star reported last week. The lawsuit against Green Park International Inc. and Green Mount International Inc. seeks $2 million in damages and alleges the firms' involvement in Modi'in Illit, the largest Israeli settlement in the West Bank, constitutes a war crime.
