Emerson for Re-Election?

Despite long-held expectations that Foreign Affairs Minister David Emerson would not be running for re-election in his Vancouver Kingsway riding, where he was elected in 2006 as a Liberal and immediately switched to the Conservatives, the Globe and Mail reported he might take a go at it after all. A win in the urban riding of Vancouver would be a significant victory for the Conservatives, who are largely overshadowed by the Liberals in the country's big cities. Mr. Emerson has not confirmed the rumor, but has repeatedly said he will decide come election time.
