After attending an emergency meeting of the G7 finance ministers on Friday, Canadian Finance Minister Jim Flaherty said he strongly supported the group's action plan to stabilize global markets and restore credit flow, the Canadian Press reported. The G7 finance ministers met in Washington, D.C., to draw up a five-point plan that would see money flow into the banking system to jump-start credit flow. Mr. Flaherty said he expects Canada to fare better than the other G7 nations and post modest growth in 2009.
