With the murder of another Afghan government official, it appears the Taliban are targeting those linked to government and foreign organizations, CanWest News Service reported. The most recent killing Tuesday of Dost Mohammad Arghestani, head of a department that aids widows and victims of war, came just two weeks after the killing of the city's top female police officer. A man said to be a Taliban spokesman claimed the insurgents had killed Mr. Arghestani. 'We did this action and we will carry on with more assassination attempts against officials, against those who work with foreign institutions," said spokesman Yousuf Ahmadi. "They are the enemy."
