APEC Talks Economy

Trade Minister Stockwell Day and Foreign Affairs Minister Lawrence Cannon will be representing Canada at this year's Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation leaders' summit in Peru on Nov. 19 and 20. The meeting is considered critical because it will address the state of the world's economy. Beyond key issues about trade and investment, Canada expects to discuss counterterrorism, emergency preparedness and regional security.
