A new poll has revealed that nearly half of Canadians think Canada-U.S. relations will take a big turn for the better when Barack Obama takes office. In an Ekos poll, 47 per cent of Canadians thought bilateral relations would be "fundamentally different" under Obama, with three-quarters of these believing it's a "good thing." "Nearly half, and the plurality, of the sample believes this represents ... the beginning of a fundamentally different era in terms of relationships between Canada and the United States," Ekos pollster Frank Graves told Canwest News.
