The Polish consul general in Vancouver has been suspended from his diplomatic duties over allegations he drunkenly drove into the rear end of a fire truck last week, the Globe and Mail reported. Spokeswoman for the Polish embassy in Ottawa, Sylwia Domisiewcz, said the order of suspension came directly from the foreign ministry in Warsaw "so he is no longer our consul general." Tomasz Lis told the Vancouver Province he would not be claiming diplomatic immunity.
