Mountie Sues Antigua

A former RCMP officer is suing the government of Antigua for wrongful dismissal and political interference after being fired from his job as the Caribbean island's police chief, the Globe and Mail reported. Gary Nelson had been recruited, along with three other former Mounties, by Antigua's Justice Department last year to reform the troubled police force but was recently fired shortly after arresting two suspects related to an investigation into a robbery and murder.
