Canada's top military brass underwent a major shakeup this week when it was revealed Vice-Admiral Drew Robertson , the head of Canada's Navy, and Lt.-Gen. Angus Watt, the head of the Air Force, are retiring. Replacing them will be Vice-Admiral Dean McFadden and Maj.-Gen. André Deschamps. Both Vice-Admiral Robertson and Lt.-Gen. Watt had been in the running to replace Rick Hillier as chief of defence staff last year, but were passed over for Army Gen. Walter Natynczyk.
