Parliament Hill was again the scene of a massive protest by Tamil supporters yesterday demanding Canadian action in the civil war in Sri Lanka, though this time with a switch.

Parliament Hill was again the scene of a massive protest by Tamil supporters yesterday demanding Canadian action in the civil war in Sri Lanka, though this time with a switch. Instead of carrying the notorious Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) flag, bearing the picture of a tiger and two guns, protesters bore black flags in an attempt to compromise with parliamentarians. Canadian politicians had been wary of meeting with the protesters because the LTTE is a listed terrorist organization in Canada.
