North Korea detonated an underground nuclear bomb Monday, eliciting worldwide condemnation and threats from the UN Security Council, the Globe and Mail reported. But in a further show of disdain, the hermit nation tested two short-range missiles from an east coast launch pad on Tuesday. Pyongyang had been threatening in recent weeks to conduct a nuclear test unless the Security Council apologized for condemning North Korea's long-range missile test on April 5.
