Aga Khan a Canadian

On the closing day of the parliamentary session Friday, MPs passed a motion to extend honorary Canadian citizenship to the spiritual leader of the world's Ismaili Muslims, the Aga Khan. With the motion, the Aga Khan becomes just the fifth person to receive the honour. The others are the 14th Dalai Lama, besieged Burmese democracy activist Aung San Suu Kyi, South African freedom fighter Nelson Mandela and Swede Raoul Wallenberg, who saved thousands of Jews during the Holocaust.
