Polar Health Summit in NWT

More than 750 health professionals, researchers and representatives of indigenous communities from across the polar world gathered in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories this week for the 14th International Congress on Circumpolar Health. Experts from Canada, Greenland, Denmark, the U.S., Russia, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, and Finland are participating in the conference. Experts are sharing best practices and insights on issues ranging from infectious diseases to the effect of an increasingly polluted Arctic on the health of northerners.
