German-Canadian lobbyist Karlheinz Schreiber, who gave former prime minister Brian Mulroney hundreds of thousands of dollars to promote military vehicles, was extradited on Aug. 2 after an Ontario Court of Appeal rejected his bid to remain in Canada, the Globe and Mail reported. Mr. Schreiber was flown to Germany where he has been charged with tax evasion, bribery and fraud in connection with a political scandal involving former German chancellor Helmut Kohl.
