Canada gets CSR czar

International Trade Minister Stockwell Day announced this week he is appointing Canada's first corporate social responsibility counsellor for the mining and oil and gas sectors.

International Trade Minister Stockwell Day announced this week he is appointing Canada's first corporate social responsibility counsellor for the mining and oil and gas sectors. Marketa Evans will come to the post from Plan Canada, where she is director of strategic partnerships and founded a unit dedicated to partnerships for CSR and international development. She was the founding executive director of the Munk Centre for International Studies at the University of Toronto.
