India travel advisory

Canada has issued a travel warning for India's capital, New Delhi, saying there is a possibility of an attack soon in market areas frequented by foreigners, CBC reported. The Department of Foreign Affairs specifically urged travellers to avoid the popular Chandni Chowk area. Similar advisories were issued Saturday by the US Embassy and the Australian High Commission in New Delhi on May 1. Militants linked to Pakistan-based Islamist groups have been blamed for previous deadly attacks in the city.
