U.S. Steel to appeal Canadian court ruling

United States Steel Corporation says it will challenge the Federal Court of Canada's decision to uphold the Investment Canada Act, the company's latest move in a feud with Ottawa over its alleged violations of the act, reported The Canadian Press. Erin DiPietro, spokeswoman for the Pittsburgh-based steel giant, said on June 29 that the company has filed a notice of appeal on the June 14 ruling that allows the federal government to proceed with a lawsuit against the company.
