Iranian-Canadian sentenced to death for adult website

Canadian Foreign Affairs officials are concerned over a reported death sentence given to an Iranian-born Canadian for allegedly designing an adult website, the BBC reported. The Foreign Affairs department said the legal process behind the conviction of Saeed Malekpour, 35, is highly questionable. Mr. Malekpour has reportedly been detained in Iran since 2008. According to a campaign website run by his supporters, Mr. Malekpour created a software program that allowed designers to upload photos to their websites. That software was then used, without Mr Malekpour's knowledge, for the creation of an adult website, the support site says.
